Physiotherapy looks at the overall picture of how your body is ordered, moves, and how one issue can lead to problems elsewhere. This helps to systematically identify the root cause of any pain, dysfunction, or areas currently holding you back.

At Quality Care, we will use hands-on methods to assess and diagnose your area of pain and/or injury. We will then design a treatment plan that will rehabilitate the function and movement of that area by increasing your joint mobility, muscle strength, balance, and endurance. Our physiotherapist will get you feeling like your old self and show you how to prevent injury(s) from occurring in the future.

Your pelvic floor is responsible for several important functions; it is essential for continence (sphincter function), supports our pelvic organs, helps with lower back stability, and is integral for sex. For women, it can be an important treatment to consider before and after childbirth, if you are experiencing hormonal changes, and especially around menopause.

Our pelvic floor experts may do an internal or external evaluation of your abdominal and pelvic musculature. An internal exam is not mandatory, however, it will help build an accurate treatment plan. Do you experience pelvic, low back, hip, or groin pain? Do you experience pain during intercourse? Do you have difficulty with urinating or bowel movements? Most people who experience pelvic pain suffer in isolation. We are here to help.

Kelly completed her 200-hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training certification in March 2022 through YogaShala in Waterdown, under the guidance of Barb Leese. She is Registered with Yoga Alliance (RYT200) and has continued to further her yoga education taking courses in Fascial Yin (40 hour), Trauma Informed Yoga, Yoga for the Aging Population and Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga.
